Last night was a DREAM! Beautiful church wedding? Check. Festive Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club wedding reception? Check. Cutest couple ever? CHECK! Mary and Marcus were married in a ceremony at her childhood church, Visitation Catholic Church in Verboort. She grew up just down the road from the church, and even attended the church’s school just next door. Mary and Marcus chose to wait to see each other until their ceremony, so the ladies got ready upstairs. As her maid of honor (and best friend SINCE BIRTH) fluffed her veil, Mary put on her mother’s necklace. I loved how thoughtfully Mary chose her accessories to truly remember and honor her mother’s memory.
We did portraits just outside the church, and even though the wind blew through from the farmland surrounding us, it was such a beautiful and joyful day!
Before long, we were headed over to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains for their wedding reception! This was another special location to Mary, since she’d worked there before beginning her current career. Isn’t that just so nice when wedding venues are chosen for the meaning they have? I love that! At the reception, the toasts were all just PERFECT! There was a particularly awesome poem written by one of the bridesmaids, and the groomsmen all talked about how much Marcus inspired them in their own lives to be more giving and loving. It has been such an honor to get to know these two over the last year! They’re both just so kind hearted and welcoming, and I know they have a great future in front of them! Congratulations, Mary and Marcus!
