Best of 2018: Anniversary Sessions! // Hillsboro Wedding Photographer

February 5, 2019

Last August, I blogged about this EPIC IDEA that I had in the middle of the night, just a few weeks before celebrating our own 8 year wedding anniversary.  I needed to gift my clients ANNIVERSARY SESSIONS!  By the time we’ve planned and photographed an engagement session and a wedding together, I am INVESTED in my clients and their relationships, and we’re usually friends!  So I thought, how cool would it be to see everyone again, catch up, and make some pretty photos for them as a gift to show how much I value each of them??  So I did it!  We set a date, I hung out at one of my favorite places in the world for an afternoon, and I was able to see so many of my past wedding clients for mini sessions!  It was honestly one of the BEST and most fulfilling parts of my summer!

Some of these couples have been married five years now, some had been married just about a year.  There were so many stories that have happened since their weddings: new houses, new babies, new jobs…I even got to see some of their dogs again!  (I’m attached to them too since we’re currently dog-less!)  Some of these sweet friends brought gifts, all of them brought their LOVE!!  I really am so lucky to get to live this life, and you know what?  2018/2019 couples…a similar sweet surprise might be in the works for you, too 😉

I’ll be working on catching up on blogging each of these sessions, but I DID want to pop in and put most of these sessions in a little Best Of post of its own!  Look at how ADORABLE all of my couples are!

And PS: if you aren’t a past wedding client but you’re thinking you’d like to do an anniversary session with your sweetie, let’s chat!  I know it’s on my personal to-do list for our next anniversary!

I love this family! I photographed their Union/Pine wedding, and since then, we’ve done so many fun family sessions!  Can’t wait to meet the newest addition to this family!

Tasha and Andy are the best!  They’re so relaxed (and also–BEAUTIFUL!) and their sparkler exit at their St. Helens wedding is still one of my favorite wedding memories!

Awww, Lacey and Taylor are STILL stinking adorable, in case you’re wondering!  Their blog post is coming up this week, but I HAD to share some of these!

Remember when I shot a ROCK CLIMBING wedding??  Trini and Travis are still awesome, and they’ve added to their family since then!

Camille and Michael’s Troutdale House wedding was a year ago Thanksgiving, and it was so fun to see them again for some warm summertime photos!  They’re still the NICEST PEOPLE ever, and I loved chatting with them about all the ways they’re enjoying their printed wedding photos at home.

Remember Danielle and John’s summer wedding at The Foundry in Lake Oswego?  My favorite memory from their wedding (well, besides being like 35 weeks pregnant) was the giant tour boat that floated past while we were doing their portraits…and tons of people yelled congratulations at them!  They got to be celebrities for a minute!  So fun!  They’re still adorably in love and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them!

That’s it, friends!  I know some of my past couples weren’t able to attend the anniversary session party, but I was definitely thinking of you!
