Camille and Michael’s Troutdale House Wedding | Hillsboro Wedding Photographer

January 17, 2018

Filed in: Weddings

If you follow me on Facebook, you’ve seen photos from Camille and Michael’s fabulous Thanksgiving-weekend wedding at Troutdale House, but I just realized I never shared them here!!  What???  I blame the holidays.

Camille and Michael both got ready on different levels of the venue, but didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony.  However, they knew that just speaking to each other would calm their nerves, so they planned a different kind of first look!  Camille’s bridesmaids and mom got her ready, then Michael’s groomsmen led him blindfolded up the stairs to the bridal suite, where Camille stood one one side of the curtain.  Michael stood on the other side of the curtain, and they held hands, letting each of them calm the other one just with that small gesture.

Michael’s reaction when his bride came down the aisle was one of the SWEETEST I’ve seen in my years of photographing weddings.
We did portraits on the new deck, since it was a rainy day, but we also took a moment during the reception for a quick rainy photo, and I’m so glad they did!
Speaking of the reception–this was a fun one!!  Camille and Michael are square dancers, and their reception reflected how much they love to dance!  From special dances with grandparents to an epic conga line, these two brought it in the dancing department!  Their reception wrapped up with a fun exit–loved the energy this sweet couple had!  Congratulations, Camille and Michael!
