If you’re lucky, as you’re driving down I-5 in May, you might catch a glimpse of rows upon rows of colorful flowers blooming in the fields of Schreiner’s Iris Gardens. But it’s worth more than a drive past, because tucked away behind the trees is an incredible garden where you can wander through all the colors of irises and other spring flowers. It’s a lovely spot for a picnic or just an afternoon together. Schreiner’s Iris Gardens is also a fabulous place for family photos! During peak bloom in mid-May, I met up with this sweet family for photos while both sets of grandparents were in town.

The gardens can get crowded during the day, especially at peak bloom, so we planned for an early bird session first thing in the morning to avoid crowds. There was plenty of room to wander the gardens and play. I love all the little nooks built into the garden.
