This sweet family is in a season of change: graduation parties, college acceptance letters, and new homes! When Emily contacted me about gifting a family photo session to her mom, I was so excited for them! Of course, I always think that family photo sessions make good gifts, but it’s especially thoughtful when kids gift them to their parents. My mom and I used to do professional photos together when I was in high school. Not only did I always look forward to that time spent with my mom, but to this day we both still treasure those photos! I was so honored that Emily and her family chose me to create these keepsake photos for their family before all the girls head off on new adventures.
We met up at their parent’s new property in Salem for family photos. They’re moving there from McMinnville soon and I’m so glad we chose their new property as their session location. What a great way to start off the new memories they’ll make there! We started portraits in their garden–look at all those lush flowers! Could. Not. Resist.
PS: they also invited grandma to join in on the photos! I love this–how special to get a photo with grandma and the grandkids!
Okay….after this, I turned and saw THIS BARN!! I’m obsessed. No big deal, they’re just living my dream life on their property with a beautiful old barn! We definitely spent some time here for more family photos.
Another reason I’m so in love with this session? THE PUPPIES WERE INVITED!! I firmly believe all photo sessions are better with dogs so it was just awesome that these two joined us.
As the sun set over the Salem hills, we did a few last photos in front of this huge old oak tree. Soon, there will be vineyards planted near this tree. Dreamy!
G Family, enjoy these photos and this exciting time in your lives! Thank you for inviting me to capture your Salem family photos!
