2016 Year in Review: Family Portrait Sessions | Hillsboro Family Photographer

December 21, 2016

Filed in: Families

I sat down to write this and checked my calendar—Christmas is FOUR DAYS AWAY!  WHAAAT??  Thank God for Amazon Prime.  I’m pretty sure Christmas morning would happen in January at our house if Amazon Prime didn’t exist.

I love the end of December in my business.  Sessions are all complete for the year and it’s a time I use to relax with my family, slow down, and review what worked, what didn’t, and create my goals for the next year!  I’ve been doing this since I started my business and it’s so fun to look back at each year and see how this business has grown and how much I’ve been blessed by my clients!

Today, I’m sharing my favorite images from this year’s family portrait sessions!  I had a lot of fun with each portrait session this year–I spent most of the time at my two favorite locations, Cooper Mountain Nature Park and Jenkins Estate, and I pushed myself to make those locations look different each session!  I also worked hard to capture genuine connections between family members, which hopefully resulted in families having tons of FUN at our sessions!  We played countless games of airplane, blew bubbles, had kiddos ride on daddy’s shoulders, and threw tons and tons of leaves in the air.  We told funny stories and danced.  It was an excellent year.  Thank you to each of my families for sharing your stories with me and supporting my business!
