This early morning family photo session was a Lake Oswego photographers dream! A wide open meadow, a barn, and rolling hills with vineyards in the background: it was the perfect setting for this family to make a few more Oregon memories before their cross-country move.
Cream & Sage Green Family Pictures
I love the soft neutral colors we chose for this family’s photo session. It’s a favorite trick of mine to make it easy as families shop for outfits: save the color for mom’s dress (a sage green dress here), and either choose a complementary color or mix and match neutrals for everyone else’s outfit. I love blending tan and cream together like this family did for the boys’ outfits. It looks serene and timeless.
Visiting Stevens Meadow
This open meadow is a lovely little hike, and while we stayed near the top of the hill for most of it, I know I’ll be back with the kids to hike it. The mowed grassy trail winds its way around the field, with views all around of the Lake Oswego and West Linn hills. Evening sessions will have a beautiful view of the sunset over the hills to the west.
After Meeting With Your Lake Oswego Photographers
Stevens Meadow is located just off the Stafford exit of 205. I love that it’s so convenient to get to from anywhere in the Portland Metro area, making it a great choice for a country-inspired session no matter where in Portland you live. It’s also a quick drive up the street into downtown Lake Oswego, where you can find Salt & Straw and the Lake Oswego Ice Creamery if the kids need a post-photo session treat!
